Sometimes, I worry about the future of music. R&B is still stuck doing 'panty droppers'. Hip-hop has sampled James Brown so much they've moved to musicals for inspiration. And remember when Britney sung about normal relationships? Now, it's all about banging...inappropriate banging.

I'm not saying Aloe Blacc is the savior of new music, but he gets it. and I like that. He sees what's out there and strives for something different. This clip makes me hopeful for the future. Jay-Z just released a trailer for his upcoming online documentary. I say online, because it will premier on a dedicated facebook page on March 22. The film looks pretty good and will features some amazing artists, but for some strange reason John Mayer is featured in the trailer. Oh, the film is titled "NY-Z".
