So with their new album, It's a Blitz, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have taken a very electro-dance turn. Karen-O's lead vocals still soar and are certainly the strength of the group's popularity. Their newest single "Heads Will Roll" supplies a fast drum loop with ethereal synthesizer riffs to a rather morbid subject.
The video adds to the horror, when a break-dancing werewolf interrupts the band's dinner theater show and rips everyone (except the band, of course) into spectacular shreds...uh, yeah I think I covered the gist of it. Enjoy, it's disturbing, but in a good way.
This the video for Taio Cruz single "Break Your Heart" ft. Ludacris. It's making a strong showing in airplay and I really like it. There is nothing that surprising about the video. It's bright and shiny, and involves sexy ladies and booze. However, the song is good. It has a great beat and great production value. Taio's album is called Rockstarr and it's worth a listen.

James Murphy, the brains behind the rock/dance/disco project LCD Soundsystem, tweeted Wednesday night, "mixing last song right now to send to the amazing bob weston to master. meaning, record DONE. i hope people like it."
It's safe to assume Murphy was thrilled and relieved to have completed the new album because fifteen minutes later he tweeted, "now drinking."
The new album was scheduled for a March release, but that now seems less likely to happen.

Well, my small obsession with Ke$ha has just grown with the release of the video for "Blah Blah Blah". I don't know what it is about this chick, but I like it. I suppose it could be the constant air play and weekly #1 record talks, but I'll say she's going places.
At this point, I have listened to the entire album and it is really stellar. She still has a depth issue, but it's feel good music so who cares. The album is Animal. Check it out if haven't, and if that's true you're the only one.
