Slave To The Rhythm
A clear voice and a very slow folk song, Justin Vernon alias Bon Iver returns with a second album quite gently, as a relaxing balm.
His music let us make travels. Bon Iver sings the sweetness of a wooden hut, lost in the North of the United States, with his calm voice. And he also add the piano, wich imitates rain accompanied once again with a folk guitar, it looks like a small sunbeam in the nostalgic universe of the singer.
Remember his name pronounces French-style "Good Winter", sad allusion in this winter 2007 when the girlfriend of the singer broke up. After that sad story, and few months made shriveled on his guitar, he realases 'For Emma, Forever Ago' to pay homage to the one who broke his heart...
This second album is quieter, with little rhythm. Justine Vernon seems to have found his breath, without depression this time. The advice is to listen it in pajamas, with a cup of tea in the summer rain.
