MGMT have leaked a new song from their quickly approaching April 17 release, Congratulations. You can download "Flash Delirium" for free from the band's website. You could also kill an hour just from watching the "MGMT" logo slideshow on their home page.
According to a Spin.com interview, MGMT claims Congratulations is "influenced by surfing and psychedelic drugs." After listening to the new track, I would assume a magic mushroom or drop of acid may have been consumed at one point during the recording. But as most artists can attest, a mind expanding drug can open a lot of creative doors.
Straight outta Dayton, Ohio comes Let's Get It with their new video for "Duck Duck Grey Goose" off of the Digital Spaces EP. They are one of the smaller bands that will be appearing at The Bamboozle.
Let's Get It has a sound similar to Fall Out Boy with maybe a bit of Bloc Party mixed in for good measure. They don't have a proper website or Wikipedia page for that matter, (so get at it amateur webmasters!) but they do have a MySpace Page.
After several teases, Angels & Airwaves finally release the video for "Hallucinations" today. It's a good one and features cool slo-mo and trippy laser lights.
"Hallucinations" is the latest single from the band's free to download album Love.
To promote the release of the band's new album Fever, here's a Bullet For My Valentine Webisode in the style of MTV Cribs. It also gives a look behind the scenes at the Welsh band recording in the studio.
Girl Talk, a featured band at the Bamboozle, is the focus of the documentary "Rip! A Remix Manifesto."
The doc, directed by Brett Gaylor, is about the legal ramifications of downloading, ripping and sampling music and the consequences from such actions. The film basically applies to anyone who has ever illegally downloaded a song on the Internet a.k.a. EVERYONE.
Not ironically, you can watch the whole movie on Hulu.
The Constant is a powerpop group from NYC, lead by Steven Baggs, who's a voice right out of the late 90's with his pain vocals and rocking tight sound.
New Orleans own, Actor Nicoye Banks celebrates the success of the #2 film in the country "Brooklyn's Finest" where he co-stars alongside Wesley Snipes, Richard Gere, Don Cheadle and Ethan Hawk. He will be In-Studio LIVE on AHH 3/12 @ 7PM EST!
