They are called Hip Hop's Cash Kings! The name says it all! Even though the economy has been shaky and the music industry has been in flux, Jay-Z has prospered. The past 12 months, Jay has pulled in $63 million!! Which lands him at the top of Forbes' Hip-Hop Top Earners List.
Ryan Schinman, chief of Platinum Rye, the country's largest buyer of music and talent for corporations tells Forbes, "Jay-Z is in a league of his own right now. "There are very few artists of any genre, not just hip-hop, who've created such brands for themselves."
Last month, we were told that Jay-Z's $63 million put him at No.6 on Forbes' Top-Earning Musicians of 2010 list. His wife, Beyonce landed at No. 3 on that same list, outearning Jay-z with $87 million.
The No. 2 man on the Hip-Hop list isn't even that close behind. Diddy pulled in $30 million. Following him are:

A new duet between Lil Wayne and Drake has hit the radio and airways. Titled "Right Above It", it is confirmed to be listed in Lil Wayne's upcoming mini album titled "I'm Not a Human Being" which he recorded before going to jail.
New song by T.I. featuring Lil Wayne called "Yeah." It's pretty good, especially the Lil Wayne part. And no, Lil Wayne is not rapping from jail. It was recording a couple months ago before he got locked up. Listen below!

Drake reports to MTV that he recently spoke to Lil Wayne on the phone from prison and is now assured that the presssure is on. During their conversation, Lil Wayne rapped two of his newly written verses to Drake and Drake claims they are incredible. In the MTV interview, Drake says..
"He called me the other day from jail and rapped me two verses, man. It really made me, like, 'I gotta do something different. I gotta get sh-- together,' because he's really got bars and he's rapping from a broader life perspective, saying these things people love to hear."
At least we now know that the rumors are true: Lil Wayne is still on his game behind bars!

Lil Wayne may be serving time behind bars in Rikers Island, but he is by no means taking a break from his music. In a recent letter to his fans posted on weezythanxyou.com, Wayne talks about his average day of eating, phone calls, reading, etc. in prison. However, he makes it a point say that he is continuing to write lyrics, and is not very modest about them either.
“I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them, “Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some.”
He also makes a shout out to his partners at Young Money and all their success
“I applaud my Young Money family for what they’re doing… this is what we’re supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early, I love my team.”
Expect these raps to start releasing as quickly as Wayne's release in November!

Even prison can't contain the onslaught of Lil Wayne. Young Money must have been stockpiling music videos from his latest album Rebirth, because they are set to drop four new videos from Weezy. Yeah, I said it, Four. "Get A Life", "Knockout" ft. Nicki Minaj, "Runnin'" ft. Shanell, and "Da Da Da" which will the first one released and also what this clip is from. All of them will be exculsive to MTV, and will continue to keep Weezy on the forefront of the Hip-hop scene. Which is what all of us wan, right?
