Moments before her performance of Lou Reed's classic 'Perfect Day' on America's Got Talent, Susan Boyle's show ends up getting canceled by Reed himself because he decided not to give her permission to sing it!
Left offended and in shock of the event and without any time to put something else together with her back-up singers, Boyle was left with no choice but to cancel.
What a shame! Talk about bad timing!

To celebrate Tommy Hilfiger's anniversary, The Strokes will give a special invite-only event at New York's Metropolitan Opera House this Sunday, September 12th.

The Copenhagan phenoms Volbeat are deep into their first head lining tour, and are pleasently suprised by the fans reactions. Says drummer John Larson "Playing these clubs isn't too different from Europe, the reactions are still the same. When we started out we were playing clubs this size.' The band has toured the United States before, opening up for Nightwish, as well as another tour with undisputed metal kings Metallica. All this and more is covered when Larson and guitar player Thomas Bredahl sat down with imusicweb The bands 4th album Beyond Hell/Above Heaven is due out stateside on September 13th.
To celebrate the end of “World Magnetic” tour, Metallica will release a new live EP with tracks which were recorded during their gig in Australia. It will be called “Six Feet Down Under” and will release the 20th of September.
Here is what the band has to say about it:
"You guys, the fans, came to our rescue with some pretty decent bootleg options and we trimmed those down to two songs from each tour in 1989, 1993, 1998 and 2004. In digging a little deeper, it occurred to us that we had tracks that had never before been released as 'live b-sides' and that added to the adventure of pulling it all together."
Are you guys looking forward to hearing it?

It's hard enough to replace any one in a band, no matter the duration or contribution to the project, but replacing a founding member and major creative catalyst after 25 years is a whole different task, a task prog-veterans Dream Theater find themselves faced with. Announced this past summer, Mike Portnoy is off to pursue other interests, and wants to make it clear his recent work with Avenged Sevenfold has nothing to do with his departure. Dream Theater plans on keeping things in motion, and anticpate haveing a new record out sometime in 2011.
